Guangdong Quality Testing CTC Certification Co., Ltd.(abbr. CTC), is an entity engaged in certification, invested and set up by Guangdong Testing Institute of Product Quality Supervision(abbr. GQI), also called Guangzhou Electrical Safety Testing Institute of state bureau of Quality and technical supervision(CEST), and Guangdong Testing and Certification Institute in 2002. It is an authoritative certification organization with international recognition, approved by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (approval no.CNCA-R-2002-049, renewed on Apr1st, 2012) according to laws and regulations and accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment.
The certification scopes of CTC approved by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) include: Quality Management System (ISO9001), Quality Management System of Construction Enterprises (GB/T50430), Environmental Management System (ISO14001) and Occupation Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS18001); CCC compulsory products certification (category 03 switchgear and controlgear, installation protective equipment of low-voltage appliances); voluntary products certification such as “conformity certification”, “safety certification” and “environmental certification” covering nearly 20 categories of products, including electrical and electronic products, furniture, toys, chemical engineering products, and plastic products.
CTC is under the leadership of Guangdong Testing Institute of Product Quality Supervision(abbr GQI),which is affiliated to Guangdong Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, a legal third party institute specializing in product testing and certification; GQI is a national-level testing laboratory and inspecting organization accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment(CNAS); it is an international CB testing laboratory recognized by IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE); it is the national compulsory CCC testing organization designated by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China（CNCA）; It is also the contractual laboratory with China Quality Certification Center (CQC) and other national-level organizations.
GQI is a qualified testing laboratory and inspecting organization according to international standards ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020 respectively; it is accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment Laboratory(CNAS), and has gained CAL and CMA qualifications that are accepted by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China(CNCA) and Guangdong Bureau of Quality and Technology Supervision. Test reports are accepted by over 50 members of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC-MRA).
GQI is one of the 9 earliest Chinese CB laboratories that have been assessed by IECEE. It is capable of issuing CB test reports according to international standards for 11 product categories with more than 158 standards
GQI is also one of the earliest inspection institutes in China that are engaged in factory inspection for product and management system certification, accredited by a number of international renowned certification organizations and CNAS, meeting the requirements of national A-class inspection organizations. It is qualified for factory inspection, pre-shipment inspection, evaluation of energy-saving engineering projects.
Since 1980s, GQI has undertaken the work of factory inspection and product testing in China on behalf of many international famous certification organizations, such as VDE, IMQ, LCIE, BSI, KEMA, NEMKO, SEV, SABS, UCIEE and IFBQ. Meanwhile, it has also provided assistance to a lot of Chinese enterprises to get international certification for their products and management systems, which has made a contribution to the exports from China.
